Accreditation of the lab

Life Genomics' laboratory in Gothenburg is accredited according to ISO 15189 to analyze the probability of trisomies (13, 18 and 21), sex chromosome abnormalities (X0, XXX, XXY and XYY) and microdeletion (22q11.2) in fetuses, with Harmony NIPT. The laboratory is expanding its testing capabilities and accreditation scope in accordance with regulatory requirements. Life Genomics has applied for extended accreditation for the NIPT by Life Genomics analysis.

What does an accreditation mean?

Swedac’s accreditation symbol stands for quality and safety

“Only organisations that are accredited (sometimes referred to as “body”) by Swedac may use the accreditation symbol. The symbol means that the activity has been assessed and approved in accordance with a certain standard. Each accreditation symbol is unique and contains the name of the standard that the accreditation covers and the accredited body’s accreditation number.”
